What an amazing month this was! For the first time since our wedding (over 9 years ago) my entire family was able to come together! Everyone came to our home for the Thanksgiving holiday, and we had so much fun. We played lots of pickleball, Settlers of Catan, went hiking, swimming, surfing, etc. We also celebrated Ezra's 5th birthday with everyone. Despite our small house we were able to fit 12 people total. We decided to have our Thanksgiving meal the following day so everyone couple have an extra day for travel and cheaper fares.
We recreated the meal we had growing up. This was my first time ever hosting a big Thanksgiving group like this and cooking ALL the things my mom made and I seriously underestimated how much time and energy it took! My mom made it look so easy growing up doing it on her own and I had everyone around to help me! We made turkey, stuffing, my mom's amazing rolls, the excellent salad, green bean casserole, potatoes, jello salad, and new additions like pecan pie and pumpkin crunch.
