House Update
This has been the month of demolition. We originally did not plan to gut almost the entire house but once you peel back a layer and see what's behind it you can't help but want to keep going till you reach the bones. So we took out just about everything...the shower/tub, the entire kitchen, all the doors, and the drywall. In the process Randy found a few rat nests in the walls and kitchen and even had to kill one with only the use of cinder blocks and a small PVC pipe. He also cut down many of the trees that were too close to the house (which creates the rat problem among other issues). It's been quite an adjustment since Randy has been either working at the station or working on the house while I keep Ezra and my pregnant self going. My sister flew over from the Big Island for a couple days and helped us with some of the demo.
I have also developed a fixation for Home Depot and Lowes. Who knew I could be so interested in joint compound, bathroom tiles, or drawer pulls. Before buying a home I could have cared less about these places but right now they have more appeal than Savers! The list of decisions is incredible but thanks to all of my hard work of pinteresting I am ready for the task at hand ;)
