May 2017 Updates

Cray Cray May
Holy cow this month was nuts!! It felt SOOO busy! A lot seemed to happen during May. For starters Chris and Jill came home from their trip! Nice to have them back. Did some game nights with the Kopps and sadly their sweet dog Roxy passed away. I've never seen such a well-behaved dog! We babysat the Wolfe's kids for one night and they were such sweethearts! Went to May Day for Kahuku Elementary school--they go all out each year without fail! At church the young women had their annual lasagna dinner and cake fundraiser for girl's camp---I got the carrot and it was tasty.

At church our boundaries are officially being enforced which meant some of the families who usually go to our branch will now have to go to their designated ward in Waialua. It was sad because we lost many strong families but I am so grateful for President Ah You! In other church news it seems the scouting program in being discontinued for the 14-18 year old boys. In all honesty I am very okay with this! It is a TON of work for the leaders to do (my dad did it for years) and some boys are just more into it than others. If it is important to you or your family then you will do it and if not no worries! Everyone can pursue what they want.

Retreat Workshops
I also taught a natural skincare workshop at two little retreats for my friends. To be honest I was so nervous to speak but I REALLY enjoyed it once I started! I was able to showcase my salves and talk about my personal experiences. One was held in Hau'ula for Well Women Hawaii and the other in Laie for Tiffany Garfield's group of Fitclub mamas. I also got to participate in the rest of the activities at each and it was so fun! Vision boarding, talking about routines, showing up in life, exercise, yoga, creativity, planty food, etc. My kind of crunchy party ;)

Ezra Update
He is 6 months old! His cheeks are ginormously adorable! I seriously nibble on them all the time--to the point of annoyance. He likes playing with magazines, cords, kitchenware, and curtains. He has also found his tongue and loves sticking it out when he is happy. He started trying just a few of our food items like blended bananas, smoothies, etc. Ezra wasn't interested in food much until lately. Now he wants to highjack your smoothie and makes demanding noises--you just know he's mad at you for not sharing. I also started pumping a little milk so Randy can feed him if I need to go somewhere. He also had his first doctor's app since December (insurance issues) and got his first round of shots. He is in the 50% percentile for weight and 75% for height.

My First Official Mother's Day
I had an amazing first mother's day! I can't believe I really get to be a mom to this sweet baby boy! Randy had me go to yoga (where I went while pregnant) and I was able to see my teacher Julie! Randy also got me some nice flowers and a sweet card. He also helped Ezra make his own :)
Isn't this card the cutest?!
He looks so big to me in this picture
Nadia and Holden Visit Uncle Randy
Wendy's family, Ezra and I went to visit Randy at work. The kids had a blast climbing on the fire truck, shooting the hose, and they even were able to fish for tilapia on the side of the station.

Saying Goodbye
Our amazing neighbor, Tiffany and her family are moving at the end of this month! We had a little get together at Turtle Bay to say our goodbyes and I was able to go the beach with her one last time at Waimea. She was an incredible neighbor and friend! When we first came home from the hospital with Ezra her kids decorated our door and she brought this scrumptious taco soup over right away! She was always very giving and friendly. She will be missed out here!
