June
What an amazing month! I turned 29 and it feels good! Randy outdid himself by surprising me with a visit from my mom. He was going to pick her up without telling me but then her flight was delayed till the next day but we made up for it once she got here. I had my favorite grilled veggie salad at CPK and ate some chocolate brownie ice cream while watching Collateral Beauty (such a good movie!) with my main squeeze I also received some pretty comical cards.
While my mom visited we went snorkeling, shopping, ate yummy food, went to a little yoga retreat where we worked on our handstands (pretty hilarious since my mom does not consider herself very flexy). We also meditated on the beach and painted on ourselves. The girl hosting the event asked if I would speak on natural skincare and I LOVED it! It was pretty epic to have my mom present to add her two bits in. We are both wild about health and natural living but still believe in balance and flexibility.
Happy Father's Day Randy!
It's official! This was Randy's first father's day. I am amazed by how devoted of a father he is to little Ez. I always knew Randy was a quality guy but I had no idea he would be such an incredible dad! I love seeing it everyday---from playing with him around the house to changing his diaper---he's a superb daddio! We had a simple meal together of salmon, cilantro rice, brownies (one of Randy's favorite things on the planet), and pineapple.
Ezra Update
Ezra has turned 7 months. He is a lover of appliances and animals. He can sit up sitting up really well and is getting ready to crawl. His arms are getting stronger and can roll with ease. Ezra is grunting up a storm. I also hit my pre-baby weight (yay).
New Calling at Church
I am officially the primary president! I was stunned (I haven't been in primary since I was IN primary)! I said yes but felt nervous about it. I have spent the majority of my church callings with the older youth so I knew it was going to be quite a switch working with a younger group. I catch myself talking to them as if they are older with puzzling looks in their eyes. In past callings I have usually always been a counselor or side helper like a secretary.I know I can do it though---there will be obvious growing and stretching but that's what it's all about right?

Jen and Mary came to visit us! This was their first time seeing Ezra. As soon as Jen held him at the airport he cuddled right up to her. We had a great time together. Jen and I had some good sista chats, we took them surfing at Castles, jumped of Laie Point, hiked to Sunset (Ehukai) Pillboxes, and so much more! Some of their work friends came with them from the Big Island to attend a Jack Johnson concert. We also ate some yummy food! Mary made an epic vegan meal with this to die for tahini sauce! They both loved Beet Box Cafe for some healthy fare and for some not so healthy treats we ate at Ted's---all about the balance right?! I had a few extra yoga classes I bought when I was pregnant so I took Jen and Mary and it was absolutely delicious. We also did a little sight seeing around Haleiwa and checked out the galleries and shops. The summer months on the north shore are perfect for little babies. The water is so calm and resembles a lake at times! This is why Mother's Beach has been our almost daily hang out spot. We take Ezra in the early evenings to help get his energy out before bed. The ocean is so magical...he is so calm after playing in the water. This beach also attracts other babies and mamas (such a perfectly named spot) so usually there are multiple babies/kids to play with and parents who all want to swap stories or seek out advice ("How's breastfeeding going? Are they sleeping through the night?"). Basically this is our little paradise for the summer. We will miss it when winter comes and the waves pick up.
Ezra Update
Ezra started crawling!! He is 8 months old and he tricked our family into thinking he was potty trained (scroll down a couple photos).
