This month Summer and I travelled to Seattle to visit my whole family. As we get older I cherish the rare times we all get to be together. We made so many great memories and Seattle was stunning! Even living in Hawaii I was still amazed how green and lush the forests and neighborhoods were. We played games, ate at amazing restaurants, got in plenty of pickleball and enjoyed exploring Seattle. My absolute favorite spot was the food forest. As we walked through, we ate blueberries right off the shrubs. Elise also had an amazing garden where we were eating strawberries and raspberries.
We took a ferry to Bainbridge Island. It made me want to bring Ezra and Mason to Seattle so they could experience it too. I enjoyed many of the simple things like having breakfast on their beautiful deck or hot tubbing in their backyard. We also strolled through Pike Place Market and checked out the gum wall. Elise, mom and I also got a mani pedi. The last time I had one of these was my wedding!
The food alone was incredible. I had ox tail for the first time at Ba Bar. We got a reservation to the Pink Door where we had front row seats to live hot jazz music while eating Italian food. I also had goat for the first time at Royal Everest which makes Nepalese and Indian food. I also tried Boba tea for the first time. I tried taro strawberry and it was so good! Our family also devoured the peaches from Costco. Tried Mochi donuts. The restaurant Wild Ginger was amazing and where I tried duck for the first time. Bakery Nouveau had insane chocolate croissants.
Everyone loved doting on Summer since this was the first time ever meeting her. She was such a good baby the whole trip. She received so many compliments on the planes and even in restaurants. I did notice there didn't seem to be that many children compared to what I see in Hawaii. Maybe because it was a big city? But I felt other people weren't used to seeing babies that much either because multiple times people almost seemed surprised to see Summer. They were always very kind, but it was as if she was this unique thing people were curious to see because it wasn't common.

Hawaii Life Highlights
This Fourth of July we had a water balloon fight with cousins and a backyard bonfire. The kids threw poppers and we had burgers and watched Sonic.
We have decided to homeschool Ezra this coming school year to see how it goes. If I am honest I am a little nervous about it but can see many benefits at the same time.
Summer's 6 month milestones: Grabbing and sucking her toes, rolling well from side to side and very interested in food. We are slowly letting her try it out (mainly fruit and veg).
All the kids are in "new" beds. Ezra moved to the big queen bed while Mason moved to the top bunk and Summer into the crib. I was hesitant about having her sleep with the boys but surprisingly everyone adjusted pretty easily.
