Gary and Bridget Come to Visit!
This was my first time meeting Randy's brother Gary and his wife Bridget ever! We had so much fun with these guys! We went surfing, SUP, boogie boarding, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay (my first time there), hiked Koko Head, and ate out a few times. I loved getting to know them and hearing Gary and Randy share stories from when they were kids and rooming together in college. I took a little time to ask Bridget about motherhood since she is definitely an expert (5 kids--this includes a set of twin boys)!

Pregnancy Update: My First Appointment
Still have nausea in the morning but with plenty of carbs it goes away. Water and raw foods are not as appealing. I found ginger candies called Gin Gin's that save me in an emergency if nausea hits hard---they seem to take the nausea away almost instantly. My pants are getting tight and I recently invested in two maternity dresses which are nice and airy. It has been challenging to exercise so I've tried to take it easy but also not give up.
On May 2nd we had our first baby app with Dr. Song in Laie. I had sand all over me and apologized while Randy laughed and mentioned something about naming our baby Sandy. I really liked Dr. Song and it was so beautiful to see our baby and hear their heart beat for the first time. I just held Randy's hand and almost wanted to cry with joy.

Mother's Day
At church in Relief Society the women played a short little game asking a bunch of questions about women and mothers in the branch. One of the questions was who is the newest mother. I didn't think much of it because my baby is not every psychically born!! My friend Kelly looked over at me and said it's Brooklyn! This was kind of fun since many of the ladies still didn't know I was pregnant yet. They gave me a little potted flower. After church Randy made a delicious curry stew (I have been craving curry like there is no tomorrow). We then walked Samoa in the evening and skyped/called our mamas.Very grateful for both my mom and mother-in-law.
